How to check an airdrop's real status in 5 minutes
Most airdrop rumours are wrong or outdated. Here is a quick way to check what is actually confirmed.
Five steps
- Open the official site or docs from the project's verified account, not from a link someone sent you.
- Find the points or rewards page. Look for the wording: is a token confirmed, or only "may be considered"?
- Look for a date. A real TGE has an announced date. "Soon" is not a date.
- Check the last update. Old pages can describe rules that no longer apply.
- Compare with a second source, such as a news report that names its own source.
Two examples
- Extended: its docs state that points are not a right to a token, while its announcement names the XTEN token for November 2026 with no exact date.
- Arc (Circle): 10 billion ARC were minted at launch, but Circle said this is not a commitment to a public offering, and no airdrop is announced.
Never share your seed phrase or private key. No real airdrop check needs them.
We do these checks for every project: see the verified list, or read how to spot a fake airdrop.
